Well you know how the PADI mantra goes – and HDC on tour are living the dream!!
Another great days diving yesterday at a couple of locations including the inland sea (or as Tory likes to refer to it, Inland Lake!!) and a dive site called ‘middle finger’ which offered the opportunity for some new water entry techniques. What started out as Sheren’s exquisite ‘side-slide’ technique quickly deteriorated into a melee of side flop, tank pogo and even a full side breach!!!
The dive however very quickly made up for it. A fabulous pinnacle stretching up from 30 to 15 with an abundance of damsel fish and tuna out in the blue.
Inland sea has possibly one of the most stunning swim throughs we have seen. A 90 meter long archway that is around 22 meters deep the walls were covered with feather stars and nudibranchs.
Sheren took some team photos that required Tim to ‘lean back’ slightly so that he could knock himself out on an upright post in the name of “fitting everyone in the picture”!
Which brings us once again to the transportation – which is almost as much fun as the diving. The 2 jeeps we have hired could only have been available because no-one else wanted them. Never in our lives have we seen such a collection of worthless metal with an engines strapped to the front. On the plus side at least we don’t need to worry about wrecking them!!
In the evening we were joined by some more HDC members who are here for the bank holiday.
